No Church In The Wild (Official Video)
Ok. Did they just film a “Occupy Movement” riot for this video. Kanye & Jay have the world’s attention with WTT and with arguably the best song on the album, this is what they give us. Ever since time magazine gave the person of the year cover last year to the “Protestor”, it glamorizes the struggle, any struggle. To much glitz and glam in this video, not enough social consciousness. Please answer this; what knowledge and/or message do we gain from this video. As some have already said, the unofficial video had more “meaning’ than this. It seems that our minds our being toyed with once again. The admiration and attention has been given to two musical leaders, but what has been done with it to make significant social change? A lot of talk, but very little action.
